Not a lot of human workers.

I suspect AI will eliminate more.

Of interest for those that like the muscle car image, and sound ( imo silliness in an EV )

You want to know why we were better off back in those days? Its because there were jobs everywhere, jobs that have been taken by machines.

Henry Ford was a very hard worker. He demanded all his employees to be the same -to always  hustle and work hard every minute on the job. Anyone being seen or caught slacking off could mean termination of employment.

A never heard comment  in these modern times about a hard working employee (heard in those olden days) that was heard almost anywhere is the U.S. , was that the hard working employee  could  be labeled as  "works as hard as a Ford worker".

And he paid very well to keep his employees as even the common line worker could afford to buy a house (and an automobile) and send his/her children to college.

Henry Ford had his positives and some very ugly negatives.

Simply do searches using the terms:

Henry Ford + Pinkerton

Henry Ford + Hitler

Henry Ford + antisemitism

Henry Ford was a true capitalist in the truest sense.

Hitler did very much admire Ford as suggested in your link.

Ford had in a letter offered Hitler a Million U.S. dollars not to make a war or to stop fighting. I forget which.

Hitler never replied AFAIK.

After that war was over, the Allies offered Ford the entire VW company for One U.S. dollar or something of that nature. And also for other German auto companies too. IIRC.

Ford wasn't interested in any deal in Germany.

And the rest is history.

As for his antisemitism, he wouldn't be alone in this issue as many people were antisemitic at those times. It was commonly seen in Canada as well at that time and seen even after the war was over. So my Canadian Jewish friends have  told me anyways.

To be noted - the American Jewish (Jewish American?) people  refused to buy any Ford vehicles because of his antisemitism and if they bought any automobile companies shares it was always to buy Chrysler or General Motors. This was still a rule applied in the 1960s, I think most bought GM cars.

Like I posted, Ford had some very ugly negatives.

There were other US corporations that did business with the Third Reich.

Evan a Bush was involved and punished by Congress.

Coca Cola and GM stopped doing business with the Third Reich once the war started with the U.S.

Loss of Coca Cola and other soda drink companies made the Nazis during the war to create their own soft drink called Fanta.

Also of note - the same "computers" used by the U.S. government/military were also used by the Nazis at that time; and made and sold by the U.S. themselves.

GM stopped doing business with the Third Reich

Such claims were made but....news accounts differ and it goes for Ford also:

Henry Ford was a true capitalist in the truest sense

No argument there, but, capitalism is an economic model.

And the Third Reich did reflect elements of it even though it was a dictatorship.

Modern day China also ...and it's communist.

Those Nazis were socialist, not just NASTY fascists. So there is a capitalism element if one actually considers what is socialism.

Modern day China is indeed communist, but not the truest sense of  that as true communism does no have any money, and China does as it is a version of it's own unique flavor of communism.

See any true communist counties without using money? None? Because true communist countries don't exit.

OTOH what exactly  is money?

Quoted from https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1998-nov-30-fi-49158-story.html

"Although there was some debate in the U.S. over involvement in World War II, America’s declaration of war on Germany in December 1941 made it clearly illegal for U.S. motor companies to have any contact with their subsidiaries on German-controlled territory."

Those Nazis were socialist

The term usually used is 'national socialist' which is simply another term for 'fascist'.

Hitler did claim Germany was socialist, but only to appease the Russians while they were allies.

OTOH what exactly  is money?

In a capitalistic model, a non political representation of relative value.

In a socialist economic model.....something to be shared. And when value is shared, there's not much incentive for a society to progress, stagnation becomes evident.

But neither Hitler nor Ford were socialists. Neither wanted to share.....lol!
