I was wondering if photoshop CS is an update from 7.0 or if you could just buy CS without having a version of photoshop (like if you could buy it and install it from the box without having an older version of photoshop) I think its both but the adobe website didnt really help. Also i was wondering if i could get a discount because I am a Student like you can with all the Macromedia Products. THANKS!!

Adobe Photoshop CS is a stand alone version that you can purchase as a full application. It is the next version after 7.0.

To get the student discounts, you can go to the local school bookstore to see if they have it or use a website to purchase it. I get my academic software from academicsuperstore.com and haven't had a problem with them. They are a little slow in processing the order, but I can handle that for the price I'm getting.

I'm not sure if it does or not. It usually will tell you what comes bundled with CS when you buy it.

You can choose from Premium full for 1.229$ and that includes Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, GoLive CS, Acrobat Pro CS, Version Cue and Design Guide.
Or Standard for 999$ that would be everything above except Acrobat Pro
Upgrade cost 549$
Image Ready is included in Photoshop CS.
I have no idea how much discount would you get as a student..

Down in the bayou, Bubba called an attorney and asked, "Is it true they're suin' the cigarette companies for causing people to get cancer?
"Sure is Bubba. But why you asking?"
"Cause what I want to know is, I was thinking, can I sue Budweiser for all them ugly women I've slept with?"
