Why would a linux distro like mx-linux provide the option for 2 Init systems?
If they create a linux distro it can only use one Init system so what are they hoping ot accomplish but providing another Init system?

Absolutely nothing, Dominique. Compis is doing what he always does; trying to ask the same question but in a slightly different way.......hoping it will fool us into thinking he's asking something different!

Your screen shot explains the they use the default Sysvinit with shims using systemD a shim means the operating system is using two init systems which horrific!
This is not an advantage as no user or administrator wants an operating system using both sysvinit and systemD as this is a nightmare to manage because a user must not only know both Init systems operations but what services are using which init system !!

You dont understand why they do it and why its an advantage. If a program needs to use SystemD on linux, and you want to install on MX Linux which uses SysVInit and SystemD you can. If MX Linux didnt combine a way to use SystemD you couldnt use anything that requires systemd libraries to run.
This just goes to show that you lack linux knowledge at the very basic level and comprehension.

""a shim means the operating system is using two init systems ""
Incorrect.
Linux Mint uses shims......it does not have two init systems
Have you taken your meds today ?
Condobloke ...Outback Australian fed up with Windows antics...??....LINUX IS THE ANSWER....I USE LINUX MINT 21.2 EXCLUSIVELY.

Trying to go around the original question ? conobloke I think you should take some meds and read this thread from the beginning.
Mxlinux is using two Init systems one is the default and the other is systemD. But why are they using 2 init systems at all ??????
What is the advantage for the user since only one init system should be running on a linux distro and never two.

I read the message. MX linux is stating that some things would not run ? This makes no sense because mx linux does not create the operating system but instead is Mx linux is based on Debian O.S. system.
Perhaps you ask them exactly what pieces are not allowed to run.
