I'm going to TRY to research this but I don't know where to begin to look.
I'm trying to install a program called Switched on Schoolhouse. It's a Christian homeschool curriculum.

Long ramble of thoughts in my head, kind of frustrated. For this particular child, I had to order a new laptop because all she was using was a Chromebook and, that's not compatible. So, got the new laptop in the mail today and am setting it up(on there right now)

I'm getting an error, and it says to call customer service. The only problem with that is that the company stopped making and supporting this product a few years ago.
My son has the software on his computer... though, his had windows 10 on it originally, it was updated to windows 11 and he did his whole last grade on it...
I don't know what the problem is or how to troubleshoot it.

"error installing SOS SQL 2014 Express Server. Installation failed. Please call Tech Support at..........."

Anything that could be prohibiting me from installing this?

I had to search my memory for where I might find what I needed... Faint memories from a couple years ago...
Switched on Schoolhouse had a FB group that's been "paused" for quite a while now. Found a post there(that I remember now) telling me what to do. Had to copy the installation folder to the laptop and then delete the folder that had SQL 86 in the name. Ran setup as an admin(which I had done that part several times) and, it all worked. Phew...
Now to finish setting up the grade work and such.
