Annoying pop up ads

Hi all

I have an Samsung S20FE, everything up to date and running MS Edge on it. I really like that it syncs favs and history with my desktop computer.

The last few days, however, I've been getting really annoying pop-up ads in Edge. At first I thought it was the Google Play store, because all the ads directed there, but then I realized it was Edge. The ad blocker was off by default in Edge, so I turned that on, and I don't have personalized ads turned on either.

But the annoying pop ups persist. They even interrupt listening to music, which is the most annoying.

Any other steps I can take here? Do I need a better ad blocker app?

Look at your installed apps and see if you don't recognize them.

Also consider getting adguard

Wuz up shipmate! Been using Adguard for two or three years and its been great. Still figuring things out as I'm not an expert, but fun to do so.

Thanks guys, yeah, I added some apps recently, but everything should be trusted, nothing unknown. Maybe Adguard is needed now....

Adgiard is not going to stop pop-ups in a browser or any app on a android device. It really depends on the websites you are visiting.

I installed Adguard the other day, maybe saw one ad afterwards, but I think since then I've had a couple of days ad-free. Maybe. More time needed to see for sure.
