Hello :) I remember reading that the program is bad (not worth using) I saw the program on download.com (download.cnet.com) and it says : Release April 8, 2020 Latest update May 30, 2024

Is this a good program now ?

SUPERAntiSpyware is not as effective as it use to be when compared to other popular anti-malware scanners but it offers additional helpful features...system tools with the ability to repair registry damage and broken Internet connection caused by malware infection, an unwanted program uninstall feature, a system investigator and an advanced file remover.

The free version can be used as separate stand-alone on-demand scanner....it does offer technology to deal with some rootkit infections and gives you another tool to use for a second opinion or in the event of malware infection where some of your tools may be disabled. The free version does not provide real-time protection, auto-Scanning, auto-updates or scheduled scanning (all of which are not really necessary) so there is no need for it to run at startup and waste system resources.

With that said....I stopped using this program years ago.

Current version is v10.0.1266 dated 04/29/24.
The last version I used was v10.0.1232 dated 06/28/21.
The last major release (Professional X Edition) v10.0.1206 was 08/04/20.

Since v10.0.1206 there have been several other releases but most included only minor Technology Changes (Service releases) and bug fixes. I have not seen any significant or major updates which would prompt me to try SUPERAntiSpyware again.

@system_shock:

No security app or suite will protect your Windows 7 computer.

While a few reputable security apps still support Windows 7, they do not patch the obsolete OS's vulnerabilities.

Reference discussion here, in your other thread:

Respectfully submitted
