Ever since we switched internet service providers (from Verizon to Spectrum), I've been having some serious trouble connecting my iPhone to my PC wirelessly to access files.

I have a iPhone 13, as my PC is a iBUYPOWER BB921 that has the 64-bit version of Windows 10 Home. My iPhone was recently updated to iOS 17.4, and I also frequently install Windows updates to keep my PC up to date. I also should mention my PC get internet via a TP-Link Archer T4U Plus Wi-Fi adapter.

So as I have stated, ever since we switched ISPs, I've been having some trouble connecting my iPhone wirelessly to my PC. I use the official Apple Files app to access my PC files from my iPhone wirelessly, but sometimes I get the error Content Unavailable: The folder contents could not be displayed because of an unknown error. To fix this error, I sometimes reboot my iPhone, reboot my PC, switch the Wi-Fi on my iPhone and/or PC off and back on, and I even unplugged my wireless adapter on my PC and then plug it back in. Sometimes that works, other times it doesn't.

As of this post, it has really become a problem for me, as I can barely get my iPhone to wirelessly connect to my PC. Additionally, I also can't connect wirelessly with other apps such as Simple Transfer, so the wireless problems aren't just with the Apple Files app, as I would get the error saying that my iPhone took too long to respond to my web browser.

Both my iPhone and PC can access the internet just fine, and I know they're both on the same Wi-Fi network, so I'm not sure what the issue is. One thing I haven't tried yet is unplugging the internet modem for 60 seconds which can work for other problems, but I'm not sure if it would work for this problem.

So what can I do to stop these constant wireless connection issues once and for all? Please give me some suggestions on what I can do.

Your isp is not the issue it could be an issue on your iPhone due to the security of iOS and how locked down it is.

That could be the issue, so what could I do to fix that?

Nothing but call apple for support.
