My phone will often start scrolling up on text messages or on other apps and lock up. The black bar at the top enlarges and phone vibrates when it does this. Is there some setting I have on I dont know about?

There are a few things you can try to address this issue:
  1. Restart your iPhone: Sometimes, restarting your device can help to resolve software glitches that may be causing the scrolling issue. To do this, press and hold the power button until the "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe it to the right. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the power button again until the Apple logo appears.
  2. Update your software: If your iPhone is not running the latest version of iOS, updating it may help to fix the scrolling issue. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  3. Check for app updates: If the scrolling issue is happening in a specific app, make sure it is up to date by going to the App Store and checking for updates.
  4. Reset all settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will not erase any data, but it will reset all settings to their default values. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
  5. Contact Apple Support: If the scrolling issue persists after trying the above steps, you may need to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can help diagnose the issue and provide further guidance on how to fix it.
I hope it helps!
