I don't know if it's just me, but I use the READ STATE Highlight here:
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/
and these days, the Linux & Unix forum (among others) is always highlighted despite the fact that no new post is to be found.  It's not the end of the world, but it's disappointing to think there's some new Linux posts, and finding out there's none when you get there.  I click the MARK THIS FORUM AS READ link but the forum state doesn't change. :(

Kind of the same thing in the Internal Hardware forum.  The forum READ STATE is un-highlighted as expected, but Grinler's announcement remains highlighted.  I read the announcement many times and clicked the MARK THIS FORUM AS READ link, but to no avail.

PS: cryptodan, when I watch your icon, I always have a feeling that your cat just blinked its eyes, but that's another issue. :hysterical:

You want the death of me?  I will need to login again at all my usual websites. :(

I did both actions and nothing changed.  By the way, I'm using Firefox 102.0 (64-bit).  Yes, I know, an oldie that I'll upgrade much much later...  I'll try another browser momentarily just for the tests sake.

You could also try to upgrade your Mozilla Firefox to version 119, which is the current version, and there are many Chromium-based browsers you could try to resolve your issue.

Good luck! :)

Ok!  A little update on this issue.  I upgraded Firefox to 115.8.0esr.  Let me tell you, this was an upgrade from hell as I anticipated, lost 3 days trying to fix my desktop to 100% usable and comfortable.  I ended up re-installing my OS from scratch. facepalm-40x40.gif  This one is supported until 2028, so I should be ok for a little while. :hysterical:

So, the READ STATE Highlight issue I encountered earlier is fixed with the upgrade of Firefox.  Announcements seem to always be in an UNREAD state, but it doesn't impact the forum read state it's in, so I'm happy with that.  When a forum link is in an UNREAD state, it really mean that there is some stuff to read, and that is what is important in the end.

Thanks for your support and patience!
