Error messages in Excel when opening files

Hello everyone,

I have tried to research the cause and solution to this problem, but haven't been successful.

When opening some fiels, I get these errors:-

Server File updated - A newer version is available. Button for re-open document.

Just underneath it says in another yellow box - Upload failed - We cannot merge with changes made by someone else. Button for Save a Copy.

This is a single user document, so baffled by message.

Another one is:

Upload Failed: Problems Refreshing - with a button for either Save a copy or Discard Changes

Another one is:

Upload failed The file or folder name contains invalid characters. Save a copy of this file using a different file or folder name - with a button for Save a Copy or Discard Changes.

I would welcome all feedback as to troubleshooting steps.

Hi, would need the Version info for Excel. is it a Straight Excel Install or is it part of Office and if so which Office is it ?  As well what OS is it ??  Win 10 / 11 or ??

Is this installed or is it on-line ??
