All five of our family computers are currently running on Windows 10 with local accounts, and have MS Office 2019 installed.

Since Windows 10 and Office 2019 will lose support after October 2025, in addition to upgrading to Windows 11 or buying newer computers, I am also looking into switching over to Microsoft 365 Family, but have some questions.

1.  Will I need to start using a Microsoft account to buy and install Microsoft 365 Family?

2. Will each family member need to have their own, separate Microsoft account to install and use Microsoft 365 Family on their computers?

3. Will I need to first uninstall any existing MS Office 2019 before trying to install Microsoft 365 Family on our computers?

4. Finally, my daughter currently has a Microsoft account that she does not use, plus it has an old, no longer used email address on it. Would is be possible to create a new Microsoft account for her, or is there some way to change the email address associated with her Microsoft account?

Thanks.

Microsoft 365 Family is $100 a year. You might want to consider the below free versions of Office software if you only use Office for personal use.

FreeOffice is highly compatible with any Microsoft Office documents.

Some info on the 365 Family Subscription.
