I have an iphone that will need a replacement screen soon. The other thing is I want to know what antivirus do you use for iphone ios? Normally I am careful with what I click on and I someone had sent me a link to an address when I asked for it and I clicked on it. I am pretty sure that person didn't post a malicious link... but the issue is if that person isn't careful with their phone like most people aren't... then couldn't they have malware/virus on it and then send it to other people? I want to know what can I do now to check for any virus or malware on my iphone before I start logging into banking sites and things like that on my iphone.

Now if I were to factory reset it, obviously that would make it clean. However, is there a way to check for malware of any sort now and then remove it? I heard there is no antivirus for IOS because it isn't needed? There seems to be a lot of free ones in the ios app store like avast, malwarebytes and even kaspersky? I use paid kaspersky total on my windows laptop.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am pretty sure most people are not careful with what they click on their phone right? Like say you have a friend send you a link and you click on it and even though they aren't trying to send you a link with malware... if their phone has malware, is there concern to your iphone?  The thing is had I not clicked on the link that person had sent me, I wouldn't be concerned of any malware or anything like that now.  It was a link to a location but if they had malware on their phone, would there be any risk of malware on my phone?  I heard you can't get malware on ios because it's linux based?  So I don't really want to log into things like banking sites and things like that now on my phone because of this.  I have no issue with my email like gmail or yahoo since well I'm always logged in all the time so it's not like I'm typing my gmail or yahoo email each time.  I heard there isn't an antivirus in the app store that actually scans things?  Is that true?  I heard there is antivirus that would scan things in case you click on an ad... but I'm talking about if you already clicked on something that might have malware.  Or should I not be concerned and just use my iphone as is?

You don't need one for iPhone.

Why do you not need one for iphone?  Is it because it's based on linux?  So if someone sends you a link to a location and you click on it and it has malware on it, what happens then?  Nothing?  You can use your iphone as is without any concern when logging into online bank accounts and things like that?

Because the apple store only provides trusted software and that's the only place to get it.

No need for this on an iPhone and if they need a VPN there are much better VPN providers than Norton.

Never had any problem with it as a VPN on my Android or on my Computer.

The OP asked for a link, they got a link.  Answering for the OP is not something I thought we did here.

It adds more bloatware to the iPhone as security is pretty tightly enforced within the apple ecosystem.

On android not so much due to the ability to install applications from 3rd party sources outside of Google play store from unofficial sources.

So if you clicked on a link someone sent you and not sure if it has malware or keylogger, what do you recommend?  The thing is I'm not concerned of that person intentionally sending me a malicious link but more so their phone got malware and somehow they send me a link and it could have it.

Obviously factory reset the phone would wipe any malware or keylogger but is there any point at all to do so now?  So there is no antivirus to download from app store and then scan my phone for malware or keylogger like a windows computer?

Are you 100% on that?  So if someone sends you a link to whether it's through a chatapp like whatsapp, skype, or whatever, you can't get malware or keylogger?

Like when you click on it, say it's a link to a location and it shows it like on google maps.  But even if someone puts a malicious thing in that link... no issue with it on iphone?   But if you clicked on it on a windows laptop, that would be different?
