I would like help installing and setting up Wine on my Chromebook. Then I can run Windows, which I like and am familiar with.

I turned on Linux, and the cursor says this:

    billtofte@penguin:~$

My laptop is an HP Chromebook 14a-na0000 (9WF14AV)

Storage: My Chromebook hard drive holds 32 GB with 14.9 GB in use for system, leaving 10.7 GB available. It only let me allocate 9.7 GB for Linux (recommended amount is 10). I have a built-in micro sd card slot. The empty card is 32 GB. I also have 2 empty thumb drives. One holds 60 GB and the other 30 GB.

Good to know. Begs a question. How do I run Windows on this Chromebook? No money to fix it that way. A different Linux distro?

I have no idea. I don't know Linux. The best one for my laptop, windows programs and gaming? Probably can only run older games on this computer.

I used settings to turn it on, and the cursor says this:

    billtofte@penguin:~$

That's all I know.
