Hi. I have an Epson scanner. The model is GT-1500 and it is about 10 years old.I had to get a new laptop and move to Windows 11. Now the scanner doesn't work.

It shows up in my printers on settings.

All indications are that the computer is recognizing it.

But the software that controls the scanning is not letting me scan. In other words the software control used to pop up with "scan" and "destination" options. Those no longer appear. I deleted everything and reinstalled the driver and software but no luck getting it to work. I'm fairly sure this scanner should work with Windows 11. Does it not? Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks.

Have you downloaded and installed the driver and utility from the Epson website?

Seems is messy situation.

In the below link only do steps #1,4, and 5

https://windowsreport.com/epson-scan-not-working-windows-11/

If those steps do not work you may need to use Windows Scan from the Microsoft Store
