Hello all, I am posting this thread for assistance in choosing a proper monitor to play my Xbox Series X on. I recently discovered that my 34 inch LG ultrawide monitor is not compatible with my system as I need a monitor that supports 4K gaming with decent HZ. Any suggestions are appreciated and I will provide links below with my current (PC) monitor that is not compatible and a potential monitor that I have found personally that may work.

On current monitor do you get any errors or no display at all?

I think the Xbox Series X can work with lower resolutions.

On current display I don’t get error messages necessarily but when I run diagnostics it obviously doesn’t support 4K as the monitor is a 2560x1080p monitor display. I’m looking to upgrade to a 4K display that supports the Xbox HDMI 2.1 hardware.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did see that one while researching, although I don’t see it supporting 4K gaming as that is what I am missing I feel when trying to use my Xbox Series X.

Greetings, thank you for providing such a valuable site that I have not seen before. I see the Xbox has a good score in the compatibility department. Only ouch is the 60 Hz compared to 120 Hz option but I’m sure 60 is standard and enough to game with.

Actually I had thought (I never used any consoles) that 4K was always 60 FPS. And 1440p and lower was capable of 120 FPS with adjusting the performance of the XBox's settings.

But 60 FPS is playable and enjoyable.
