I have a dell laptop and 2 external monitors that I use with it.  One is a 32' 4k samsung monitor and the other is an old 24' 1920x1200 asus monitor.  I have a 4 foot folding table.  The laptop is like on the left side of the table but it is put diagonally so to speak.  The 32' 4k monitor is in the left/middle of the folding table.  The 24' monitor is on the right end of the table and put it diagonally.  So imagine it looks like this on the folding table.

Laptop    32' Monitor   24' Monitor

The only thing that is put straight is the 32' Monitor as the laptop and the 24' monitor is put on the left and right side of the table but sideways.

Now would a 6 foot folding table be needed for this?  The 4 foot folding table that I been using for this long, there is very limited space it seems.

Also if you have 2  32' 4k monitors... would a 6 foot folding table be more than enough?   There is no way you could have your laptop on the far left side of the 6 foot folding table and say 3 external monitors on it right?

I prefer these folding tables as they are cheaper and do not require those really nice desk etc.

The way I have the monitors set up, I have to move my neck to the right a lot when I look at the 24' monitor.  I can't put the 2 monitors side by side because it would be very hard to look at the other 32' 4k monitor which is my main monitor.

I think you mean 32" (inches, not feet) and 24" (inches, not feet) monitors???

As for furniture recommendations, I'll defer to others more expert.
Maybe post a (link to a) photo of your setup, to better illustrate your setup & your issue?
Doing so would help to help you better.

Mounting the monitors on the wall will free up table space.  More secure than on a folding table too.

Hi,

A 6 foot folding table would likely provide more space for your setup, especially if you are finding that the 4 foot table is too cramped. If you have 2 32' 4k monitors, a 6 foot folding table should be more than enough space for them, but it might be a tight fit if you want to add a laptop on the left side of the table as well. It might be helpful to consider how you use your monitors and how you want to arrange them to determine what size table would work best for you. It is also important to consider ergonomics and positioning of the monitors to avoid neck and eye strain. You can use monitor stands to adjust the height and angle of the monitors to a comfortable viewing position.

So the laptop would be on the left side of the folding table.  The 32' monitor would be around the left/center.  The 24' would be on the right side but it would be put diagonally.  I am not sure exactly how to explain it but imagine when looking straight, you are looking at the 32' monitor but it is not exactly the center.  The 32' monitor is in the center but just a little left.  And to look at the laptop on the left or the 24' monitor on the right, I have to move my neck around etc.

Okay so picture would then show you the setup I currently have.  The thing is it does feel cramped a bit.  Well I am not sure about mounting it because I would have to make sure the monitors is exactly where I like it right?  For example I tend to move my 2 monitors a bit sometimes to get a better angle etc.

I know if I had say 2 32'4 monitors, it would be not enough space because it would be too cramped.  Again the laptop is on the side as well.  Also I used a wired keyboard.  So with a 6 foot table, that is more than enough with laptop and 2  32' monitors right?  There is no way you could put 3 monitors right?

Have a look at these two drawings, you have moved me to fire up my graphics software !

A 32 and a 24 will fit on to a 6' x 2' table with  no problem but you will be sitting very close to the screens and I have assumed a 15" laptop. A 6' x 3' table will allow you to have 3 x 32" screens but they would be hanging over the edge of the table, the same would go for a 2' table. The monitor drawings allow 6" for the depth of the base and they are very close to being to scale. The side screens are angled at 30o to the central or main screen.

i will post picture of it.  Laptop is 15.6' and is on the left side but diagonal.

But 6 foot would be enough for two 32' right?  And for the 32' and 24'?  Again this is with laptop on table and wired keyboard.

Hi, @paulyjustin:

Many folks have provided clear and helpful advice, including thoughtful diagrams.

Ultimately, however, only you can determine what will fit and work best for your space and your equipment.

You might purchase a tape measure to assist with sketching out and calculating what will and will not fit.

If space for the table is not a major consideration, then common sense would suggest that a larger table would offer the most flexibility to arrange your components.

If you buy a 6-foot table and it doesn’t work out, then return it. No harm done.

If you need more than 6 linear feet, then you might need more than one table.

-------------

<no offense intended>

FWIW, why do you always repeat the same questions over and over again, both here at BC AND in cross-posts at multiple other computer help forums?

https://www.elevenforum.com/t/folding-table-recommendation-for-monitors-and-laptop.12260/

https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/202098-folding-table-recommendation-monitors-laptop.html

(probably others, too?)

In some forums, such cross-posting is considered spamming/trolling.

AND it's disrespectful of the time and effort of well-meaning forum VOLUNTEERS who compose thoughtful, expert replies that you seldom either acknowledge or heed.

<just sayin'>

-------------------------------

 Good luck!

As of right now, I'm still using the 4 foot folding table and it feels extremely cramped.  Will a 6 foot folding table solve these issues?  The thing is how deep is the 6 feet folding table?  The one I'm using, I literally have the 32' 4k monitor on the back edge to make it as far back but the folding table needs to be deeper?  The other thing is I'm less than 2 feet from all the screens so that is another reason why it doesn't feel comfortable?

It feels extremely uncomfortable moving my neck left to right because I have to look at my 15.4' laptop screen to my 32' 4k monitor and then to the 24' monitor over and over.  Does anyone have any advice on this?  How far away should one be from all these 3 screens with my current setup?  So a 6 foot folding table which would be deeper would be enough to put these screens farther?

The thing is I never had any issues when using two 24' 1920x1200 monitors when I had them side by side but it make like an upside down V and moving my neck left to right was no issue.  But moving my neck to left right many times for hours with my laptop, 32' 4k and 24' 1920x1200 is extremely uncomfortable.  Any advice here?  I am pretty sure my 4 foot folding table is only 2 foot deep so that is wby?

To give an idea of how my current setup looks now, look at the thread below where poster mononymous posted pictures in the thread.  Scroll below to the pictures where that poster posts current and it would show how the 4 foot folding table looks with the 15.4' laptop, 32' 4k monitor and 24' 1920x1200.  Even from the picture, it looks cramped.

"32' 4K monitor" and "24' 1920x1200" monitors????

You're going to need a bigger house, not just a bigger table.
32' = 32 feet
24' = 24 feet

But, seriously, as usual, your circular, confused, confusing, repetitive questions were asked and answered months ago, both here in this BC thread and elsewhere:

https://linustechtips.com/topic/1483766-folding-table-recommendation-for-monitors-and-laptop/

And you're also being helped here:

https://www.elevenforum.com/t/folding-table-and-external-monitor-setup-questions.19086/

And you've cross-posted here, too, as usual:

https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/208506-folding-table-external-monitor-setup-questions.html

All this fuss and bother, just to buy a table????

At least six cross-posts in at least four different forums, including duplicates in at least two places, just to buy a table....

Wow.
