VK purchased ICQ.com from AOL 14 years ago for a little less than 200 millions, then closes it today.

I'm speechless! Perhaps Russia has a plan when asking people to switch to VK? 
Personally, I tried that network, but didn't like it too much. Complicated to use, new program to install - resources intensive as well, and lost conversations when closing.
