So I got stuck in the mountains of NC recently with a dedicated GPS and a Cell phone with no signal. The GPS mapper is older and can record a GPS location and return you to the area, but it could not locate an area, say like a national park from just GPS Coordinates.

Having that great a-ha moment I thought it would be simple enough to find an app for my smart phone to provide this service, but the apps I'm finding are not straight-forward enough for this purpose. Still I thought maybe I just might not be seeing the gold that's buried over there at the Google play store so I'm here to ask.

Are there any good apps out there that allow you to type in GPS coordinates and then provide turn by turn directions to your destination?

This here thread is over a year old, but I'll answer your question anyway. You may have already discovered this, but Google Earth can be downloaded free from the Play Store.

I have an suggestion under the name "Auto Stamper" which allow user to add GPS coordinate to picture when user capture it from smartphone camera.  I use this app for a long in my phone and it work perfectly without and trouble.

I will recommend you to use an application named "Autostamper for photos" app. It provides the best Geotag facility. Since, I am using this app, it working great. !!
