GPS Logger "Teleporting" / GPX File Error

I recorded a walk recently with a Canmore GPS logger and the GPX file it produced had a large gap between 2 points in the track. The points were about 70 metres apart but they were both recorded as having the same time. The rest of the file all looks normal apart from where I seem to have zoomed forwards in less than a second. This has happened in a couple of other files too. Anyone know why/how it happens or, even better, how to prevent it? Here's a few lines from the file:

Apologies if this is something obvious that everyone knows about but I've not been able to find anything about it online.
