Hi

Here is my computer specs: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/iy234ooi8jANpDvmxXyBHy1

I have a problem in windows it shows bleck screen with cursor for a while after I log in, so I have gotten help with it in this thread: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/797854/could-you-help-me-rule-out-any-infection-on-my-pc/

Basically he suggested that it was probably a hardware problem.
And suggested that I make a thread here, to get further help.

And there is a mystical problem with my computer.
When I turn on my computer it spins up like the fans and and things but it does not post and the screen is acting like there is no signal.
I have to turn it on and off several times before it will finally post and boot into windows,
It is totally random how many times I have to turn it on and off.

I have tried to note down the debug codes that my motherboard gives while the computer is in no post state:
The codes it is showing the longest is dE, 72, & 64.
I have tried to reference the manual for their meaning I cannot find dE in the manual but 72 and 64 seem to be late south bridge init and late CPU init.

There are also other codes that flashes by like A9,19,55,9C,92,99

A9 - Start of setup BIOS setup if needed requested
19 - Early Southbridge init
55 - Early Memory init
9C - Onboard devices init and Detect /USB/ SATA/ SCSI......)
92 - PCI bus init
99 - Console Output/Input devices/Console init and load Option ROM(VGA, RAID, parallel ports, serial ports......)

It will keep cycling these codes stopping up at dE, 66 & 72

Note : this will be asked to be merged to your other topic.     All below are not suggestions.

Replace the CMOS Battery.

You are running BIOS Version : 17.7      Date: 31. Jan. 2013   Last BIOS Released is : 17.11    2013-09-13           UPDATE Your BIOS.  See link to how to video

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z77_MPOWER/support

All are before Windows 10 was released.  Which is part of your issue at 11 years old.  This should be running Linux.

Windows : installation Date: 17. Sep 2020    9.25.34   which a clean install would be of use.    NOTE : Windows 10 End of Life Oct 2025

Remove : Avira Security : https://support.avira.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000982665-How-do-I-uninstall-leftover-files-relating-to-Avira-Antivirus-for-Mac-without-the-uninstaller

Note : All Drives must have 15% or more free at all times : Drive D: \     Free Space:   24,6 GB (6%)

EDIT : In Bios turn off anything that Speeds up the Boot, example : ASUS Fast Boot for same reasons as below :

Turn off MS Fast Start : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup and WHY !!!

After Replacing the CMOS Battery ONLY and Updating the BIOS to last ever Version.

As well as all other things mentioned. Only do after : Download Minitoolbox from the below link :

Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
    - List last 10 Event viewer errors
    - List installed programs
    - List devices
    - List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply
