Hello,

Did do BCS-ECDL about 18 years ago & since then forgotten most of it.

Is it still a worthy qualification to take or MOS better?

considering that you are apparently in england in somewhere?

I know many people in that country, and I've never heard any of them say anything about certs.  however, in America they don't mean jack unless you work in the corporate world.  corporations over here are OBSESSED with people who have certs, because the BS in the corporate world has gotten to the point of such absurdity and people literally are lying to everyone else inside of them because they're scared to death to be automated out of their jobs, that they're paying for certs in a desperate attempt to show employers they deem as ""secure"", that they actually have employable skills.  but most certs over here say nothing about you, other than the fact that you know where the buttons are to click to run whatever software it is you need to learn.  thus, it's a waste of money if you work outside of the corporate sector,  IMO.

Personally, I wouldn't hire anyone with an MOS.  that does not mean anything, especially since ms office is completely outdated at this point anyway.  it is still used obviously, but professional people in the corporate world don't use it anymore whatsoever.  I also didn't see much here that I could help you out with:
