I've never seen this before, and I'm not sure what I should do.
I was working on a spare SATA drive, getting rid of all the partitions in Disk Management when I noticed that the OEM partition defied any effort to get rid of it. To be clear, this is not my boot drive, it is from a computer someone threw away.
I opened DiskPart and listed the volumes, at which point I noticed that MY (not the spare drive that I mentioned above) EFI partition was listed as damaged.
I went back to Disk Management, and it still said it's healthy.
Should I run chkdsk? Or is this advice trustworthy? Or maybe use a command in DiskPart like recover? I have temporarily assigned a drive letter to it just in case.
Thank you in advance. My life is a bit of a shambles right now, so my brain is fried and I hope for help. Thanks!
And, for those who are curious: yes, I managed to get rid of that OEM partition on the spare device. It took a bit of learning, but it was manageable. Now I can dismount it and go to bed.
Happy 4th, if you're American.
