Here's one you don't see every day. I took this photo earlier this month at work.....This is a C-5 Galaxy, it's a military cargo plane capable of carrying 270,000 pounds of cargo, with a max take off weight of 840,000 poundsand is one of the largest planes in the world. It's landing gear consists of 28 wheels! It's gas tanks holds 51,150 gallons of fuel! Needless to say it's a big plane

Thanks!

Fighter jets....ummm...not really. We don't get a lot of them up here. When we do, the move WAY to fast for me to photograph  I do however have a few shots of the A-10 Warthog someplace....it's just a matter of finding where I hid them..... :flowers:

To avoid back to back posting, I've edited this post.....

Here's that photo of the A10 Warthog I was telling you about Scarlett. I got this shot maybe a year or 2 ago. I was photographing cracks in the pavement on a runway when 3 of these started to take off. I got all three as they were screaming by me. You can see the "heat" coming from the engines. This isn't exactly a fighter jet (sorry!), but more of a tank killer! It has a 30mm gun mounted on the nose (which you can see) that fires 3,900 rounds per minute! Not to mention that it can carry a variety of bombs and missles. It's main function is close, low air support of troops....so if some ground troops come across a tank they call in the Warthog!

This isn't a fighter either, but it sure looks like it could be!

I went to the Smithsonian Air and Space museums, and the Air Force museum, and have at least one picture of almost every plane, but most of them are from a bad angle, or blurry because my camera wasn't designed to photograph museum settings. Let me know if there's one you want to see, and I probably have it.

Here's the JSF

F-22 Stealth Fighter Bomber

I thought you might enjoy this photograph of one of the US Air Force's
latest high technology fighter bomber aircraft. It's being prepared to
depart for an "unnamed" air base in the Middle East.

Please treat this picture as confidential, and control distribution of it.

It's not really confidential, btw
