I'm addressing Corporate, business, medical and government data basses that are accessible on line.

Recent example;

Medicare recently got hit. Billing, accounts and medical history......all in one shot.

That's about as personal and private as data gets.

Opm.gov is far worse than any medical billing information. That was the most damaging breach of anyone's private data.

To look at what information was stolen google the following forms

Sf85, sf85p, sf86, and of306 data pertaining to background checks by all federal employees to include contractors and military.

Looks like we're on the same page.

Without the Internet, most of these breaches couldn't occur.

Most, but not all as an absolute.

This happened to Melon, Bank of New York, about 17 years ago.

They had a major data 'loss' that was backed up on tape and stored in a warehouse.

A large number of tape drives were 'lost' in transit.

Obviously an 'inside job' but I've never read of any official conclusion.

And today......

hacked.

The OPM Hack made maryland change its concealed carry permit process easier for those with clearances due to the massive target put on our backs as well as our families and loved ones.

 No cc permits needed to be legally carrying in Ohio.
