RAIMA,

if you have no GUI, then the command line (bash) will be the only interface.

It's best to install a working desktop before uninstalling another.

This would be done by opening a virtual terminal, by ALT+Ctrl+F!

Then enter user name and password and the line below.

sudo apt-get install xfce4

This will give you the standard XFCE desktop environment which is compatible with linux Mint. Enter your password after running the command. The package manager will then install all the packages that make up the desktop environment. You need to  type y to confirm.

If you restart. you will see a list of the desktops environments you have installed, select the Xfce session. Sign in and you'll have access to all your home folders and files..

On second thought, i'm not certain this will work but it does for Ubuntu. The Mint system may be corrupted and a better solution might be to backup to a portable drive using the command line and do a fresh install of Cinammonotit'

it's not give me after restart the list of desktops environments, why?

Yes, I understand. Have you previously installed a video driver to Mint? Please let us know if you do not understand the question.

Please also post specifications for your computer. Have you ever run Speccy or posted the output of any command that begins with
inxi
for this computer, on this forum? If so, please post a link.

The black screen with cursor appears before you are able to login (input user/password) or after that?

OK. It seems the Display Manager is not loading or it's crashing.

You can try to install the correct package for cinnamon from terminal (CTRL + ALT + F1 on the black screen with cursor).

sudo apt-get install mint-meta-cinnamon

After that reboot the system and try if it is working.

If not, you can try to reconfigure the Display Manager. On Linux Mint the default DM is MDM, if I'm not wrong.

To reconfigure it you can use the next command

sudo dpkg-reconfigure mdm

I'm not a Linux Mint user so you may wait for a second opinion.

If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

RAMIA, I am suggesting to remove cinnamon, but, only if others think it is worth a try:  sudo apt-get remove cinnamon

Maybe this will help I don't know, but you should wait to see what others say.

If you do not know the outcome why suggest it? By the time "others" see it may be too late and is not acceptable, You need to be sure that the instructions you give wont make things worse.

Rather just try it on your own machine if you don't know what will happen

RAIMA,

sorry about the inxi -Fx advice which wouldn't work.

How did you install your Linux 17.2 Mint?

Do you have any data which you want to backup?

Was it with a live CD and have you still got it?

If you don't understand what I have said, let me know.

Guys, RAMIA said he installed cinnamon because he thought this was the cinnamon DE, then this issue happened.  So why would he not want to remove it?

RAMIA's quote:  "i install cinnamon cinnamon desktop in up first in this image, Then every time that i back to os linux, i get black screen with only pointer mouse."  In post  #31 at the bottom INSIDE of my quote.
