@noobody:-

You might find these two pages worth a read at some point. They explain some of the philosophical and hardware utilisation differences between Windoze and Linux:-

https://www.linuxatemyram.com/

Both quite amusing reads, but both technically sound, and always relevant.

Good stuff, Mike....if those links had been present way back at the beginning, we may have saved a hundred or so posts, and maybe 10 pages !!

Brilliant find !!!. mandatory reading for first timers .

Condobloke ...Outback Australian  fed up with Windows antics...??....LINUX IS THE ANSWER....I USE LINUX MINT 21.2  EXCLUSIVELY.

They've been around for a long while, Brian. I found 'em 3 or 4 years ago.......and I usually wheel 'em out for the 'extreme doubters'; the ones who make mountains out of every little molehill.

They're written in a way that anybody can understand (unless they totally flunked reading at school, and are next to illiterate). Which doesn't describe anyone on the majority of sites I've ever come across. Well; there's always the odd one....or two...

Nobody ever said life was perfect, mate.
