My new $10 tablet.
Device info wallpaper and everything but the compass works.
First thing I did was install a firewall. NoRoot Firewall - Android Apps on Google Play

Nice looking tablet you have there Nick, especially for $10.
Everything you need to know in front of your eyes. Appears to be running cool also, 30C isn't bad for a CPU running at 100%. You're right about the Firewall, maybe that's why many Android tablets/notebooks are dealing with infections, or at least there's articles that points to this being an issue. Maybe they're overblown, propaganda distributed to make the fruit devices sell better.
It's not like I see long line of Android users in the 'Am I Infected' section, when skimming through the list.

CPU running at 100%
The screen capture prog and the fact I was running a malware bytes scan put the cpu at 100.
Security wise Android is a mess, Its one of the reasons I run a firewall, I sometimes connect to public networks. I have locked the firewall down and what isnt locked down must ask permission from me to access the net same applies to any inbound connections.

Well then I sure won't be purchasing an Android smartphone, that's what I was considering, maybe I'll take a look at the Ubuntu one.
The fruit one is too expensive for me, $600-700 USD for a no-contract phone is just too much money to talk & have 5GB of data. I'm considering an entry level smartphone just to have one, there's likely other options available.

Couldn't resist, once a month I browse the internet for Wallpapers. Here is my new Mint KDE 17.1 Wallpaper with Custom Conky with help from Al000. Nice stuff guys, nice Conky D.C.! Love this KDE Wallpaper.
And here it is with the beautiful Lancelot Menu!...that is now dead...sad.
If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

The biggest problem as I see it is that most Android devices don’t get security updates, Especially on the cheaper phones or tablets.
I have a old ZTE phone with Eclair (2.0–2.1) I don't ever remember there being security updates for it.
Edited bellow.
I tend to agree with this
Android is the most insecure mobile platform available on the market, as every month new susceptibilities are discovered by Google. Although these problems are notified to the Android OEMs by the company, only few of them are willing to patch them up and push security updates to phones that are affected.

Spot on Nick, especially for people locked into platform dependant releases. (shame on you Samsung, make billions of phones and then don't update them.)
The only solution is to root them (jailbreak), which can be scary and overly-technical for a lot of people.

Here's the desktop from one of my Ubuntu VMs. All I did was download the picture. I figured a Gnome was well suited since I'm running Gnome. I got rid of the top panel, but transfered any widgets I wanted to the bottom panel, I then re-arranged them. I chose to use the main menu widget rather than the 3 split menu. I also tweaked my terminal profile to have transparency.
On Windows 10 I use a solid color.

This one is waaayyyyyy old, but its still good. Bliss wallpaper, winbar toolbar (i got the idea from someone else and totally
rewrote it to include the Windows icons that link to the Linux program, YES even AOL)
I got bored at work one day and created an entire icon theme for my laptop and my phone so they would match.
And for the trifecta my WHAT OS desktop. (Wireless HAckers Toolkit)
