Thought I would post this with the Conky setup I settled on with the help of Al000.  The white Conky stands out the best with the blue background, very cool!

Yeah, thanks for sharing guys!  Wish I could run the Cube etc.  Really like that theme that Nick is using, tried one a long time ago and it broke my system lol, live and learn.

Hi,

This is my main machine with Peppermint OS 6 (x64) (dual-boot with Windows 7).

Spoiler

6VLyRRd.png

Wallpaper:
Stock but I did give it a bit more red, used Pinta to do it.

Conky:
I used conky manager and did some minor changing in the configuration files.
Tweaked some numbers to create more space between some lines and changed the color of some items.
Handy site to pic your colors : http://www.color-hex.com/

Plank:
As I didn't want icons on my desktop I installed plank (without the themer).

1U5QREk.png

Theme:
Peppermix-Dark on stock color settings. I did some small changes on the opacity Desktop Effects settings.
Pretty good out of the box!

Icons:
I wanted red... The Linux Help Guy syndrome I think... rave-x-color-icons in red of course...

gDe71bF.png

Humor:
I always add a little bit of humor to the desktop, amor did the job.
(That's the little black cat that's running around my desktop.)
You can find it with the Software Manager.

vjItdBa.png

I love the transparency in combination with the icons and the wallpaper.

Short update on the look/theme ATM:

I already had plank and installed Plank-Themer.
Disabled amor as it doesn't really fit the desktop wallpaper anymore...

New wallpaper: SKYNET is ALIVE !

QD6aWg8.png

Original wallpaper found on this page. I edited the wallpaper to get the Terminator on the left side and added some text...

I hope you like it as much as I do!
Any tips, comments or questions are welcome.

Greets!

Nice - Love it! Most inbuilt Dark Themes I've tried have been too dark, then it affects other programs and how they are viewed, yours is good, and the transparency is very nice.  I was wanting to put some spaces in my Conky also.  I'm a little ADD and it's hard for me to take a quick look at all the outputs with it all so close together.

Thanks pcpunkB)

Indeed, black themes are not always ideal but this one even plays nice with LibreOffice.

Yes, I need to learn some of that for sure.  Been wanting to change the background color of Lancelot Menu but have not had time, wonder if that color site you provided would help as there is only two in the Themes in Mint KDE?  Not sure if I need to go to the Lancelot File or just add the color to the Themes File.

Also, here is my Conky thread where I am trying to learn some of this, albeit at a very slow pace lol.

The menu should pick up the colors from the theme...

I would personally install a theme that is close to your taste and work with that by changing things step by step.

Plenty of themes (and screenshots) at NoobsLab.

Nice thread. Conky is always good for hours of configuration fun!  :busy:

New Theme using Obsidian Coast in Application Appearance > Colors.  Also, in Workspace Appearance > Window Decorations, using Chrome Blue Theme from the web which is giving the light blue title bar.  Have a new Splash Screen also but can't show that, really nice...and fades into Log-In Screen.

Really very nice, I like it!

Never thought that light blue and black could give such a nice combination...
