Looking at the virtual ram settings right now.

I may keep this to current setting and see if it acts up then increase it  some at a time.  Have the monitor watching for usage on ram.

I could also run a benchmark to see if this is pegging out or still  crashing the system.

Hi, ok well some information. With out feed back both ways it is very difficult as to what is going on.

Finding out the original issue is fixed and not sure what trying to do.

You have hit the nail well on post # 30     Change the Virtual Ram to 9077.   To what is recommended.

Is always good to go in there.  Have been adjusting sizes since Win95.  My size was set at 1554 and new size is 2911 min and max.  Never had it bite me,

Make sure C has enough to spare to take that though.

Your Drive structure is rather complicated.  Why not just Dedicate a Drive for Pictures and for Movies as example and then make folders inside the drives.

No partitions. Like old steel filing cabinets.    You I think have complicated it to much and it does not like feeling Manic.

Just simpler ways to do things.

EDIT : ASUS Probe used to be a Stand Alone Program before. not looked at M/B page to check.

My drive structure is like that.

I have one drive for digital images and video backup.

One drive is a copy of that. double backups are always good.

I really only use 3 drives for programs, One for legacy programs , not much running on that. One is for current programs, then my c windows drive has some smaller programs that constantly run.

Today I noticed that my regular ram is about half, and virtual ram is about 80% usage.

Started a high demand game and went up to 90%.

I will try shifting as suggested and see how it goes.

Over the past few days I have played games and high demand , had a few lag spikes but it evened it out.

Right now my c drive has 202 gb free.

I am considering going to a 2 TB drive or a 4, but moved some files to storage drives cleared up some room. ( extra desktop stuff that didnt need to be there)

Hi, All drives must have 15% or more free at all times.    Especially C:      So not going back pages to look at Disk size.

Need free for Virtual Ram, Swap File, Updates, Temp Files, Misc.

If increase size of Virtual memory is a combination of RAM and disk space that running processes can use. Swap space is the portion of virtual memory that is on the hard disk, used when RAM is full

So weird things happen to a System Drive when get below 15% free.

Ram rarely gets over 50 % usage.

Except virtual RAM does.

The drives are mainly storage. and mostly external running on there own Power supply.

Drive D is my main program drive and C is my main windows drive. A few extra programs run on i drive. Other then that they are storage/ Backups etc/

I reference F, R,J, L, G drives on an almost daily basis. or at least weekly.

5 drives are in a enclosure.

I did have something happen before this posting ,

PC crashed. But no errors formed on system events.

It was when Rust ( heavy ram) was loading . Trying to find out if it was some update I did and forgot about restart or it was an actual crash.

Now after restart my virtual memory is 28% and used ram is low too. Possibly memory leak ?

Will investigate further. and will run that memory test, even though windows defender flags it .

Possible.   A lot of work : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/finding-a-memory-leak

Though as mentioned your Virtual was low.  Do not think ram was. In Speccy File if still up will show at time of Speccy Report.

Run another and see if any differences in what is turning up on all it's Subject Menus.
