The document doesn't contain those markings for me
I didn't see them either in that document. So it must pretty much is guarantted to be the print crop/registration/bleed marks function turned on somewhere either in the program itself or in the printer properties/preferences.
Again, posting screenshots of all the printer properties dialog boxes might be helpful.

those markings are part of the manual, and cannot be removed.

Well, technically there are ways it might be done, but it's probably not important enough for you to bother.
