Anyone else have Cisco's Spark (or updater for it, Launcher.exe) being flagged/quarantined? (360TS repeatedly quarantines launcher.exe, applicable to updating spark, even though I whitelist it and restore it)

Seems to relate to the avast bunch of F/P's recently. Just needs an update or reinstall the program, then update.

I left a link to the avast forum where they discussed it.

I’ve been using Edge as my browser for the past several months as Firefox was lagging and using up too much CPU.  Earlier this week I saw CPU usage spike to 100% in a random fashion.  I had just done the May updates and don’t know if that was an issue as I never saw this before.  I was prompted to do a full system scan with Microsoft AV (I have three hard drives in addition to an NVME OS drive).  Defender has never picked up a virus during the regular quick scans.

The full scan came up positive for Trojan Win 32 Vigorf.A which is labeled severe.  I let Defender quarantine it and tried to figure out how this happened.  I’m a very cautious user and never visit dodgy websites or open attachments that I know nothing about.  The virus was in an Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 install file on my data hard drive.  I have not used Dreamweaver in a number of years and it was not installed on my current OS drive.  It’s likely that this just might have been a false positive.  As far as I can tell, this install file predated the appearance of the virus.

After restarting my computer, Edge seems to be behaving normally.

The consensus among most experts is that if 90% of the results of an online file analysis (VirusTotal, Jotti's virusscan, VirSCAN, Hybrid-Analysis, etc) indicate a file submission is clean, then you can disregard the other detection(s) as a false positive...especially if the detection is more generic, suspicious, potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) and/or was made by any of the lesser known security vendors. This is typically due to the security program's heuristic analysis engine which provides the ability to detect possible new variants of malware.

BTW...you may want to consider switching to the Brave Browser. I ditched Firefox long ago and seldom use Edge. I provide more information in this topic about Brave as compared to other browsers and search engines.
