Thanks for the belated holiday greetings....I wish the same for you.

I have only used the WinPatrol PLUS product which essentially stayed the same as when Bill P was behind it. Bret did release a few new versions with minor updates but nothing that drastically altered its functionality. WP is still a very good start-up manager which is why I continue to use it.

I have been using WinPatrol Plus for many years for the same reason - to alert me when a program want's to be added to Windows' startup routine. My favorite light weight startup manger, believe it or not, is still Mike Linn's Startup Control Manger with AutoRuns for more complex needs.

While I was sorry to see Bill sell WinPatrol, and while there have been no significant updates since he did, it remains a functional and lightweight utility that serves a purpose and I can't see a reason not to keep it resident on all my systems.

Can you provide links to official reports of the sale, please?

If I have frustrated you, then I must be a student. If I've imparted information or a skill to you, then I must be a teacher. If I've helped you, then I must be a volunteer. If I've touched your life, then I must be happy!
If you had to choose between saving just your family, or saving 10,000 GOOD people (but not your family), what would you choose?

That's about Bill's sale of WP to Bret...I'm asking for Bret's supposed sale.  Sorry I wasn't clear.

I thought someone had, but I must've been mistaken. Sorry again.

It doesn't look good. The security certificate for winpatrol.com expired 19 days ago.

What happened to the Winpatrol website? 'It doesn't seem to be there anymore. I even tried to get support at suport@Winpatrol.com and I got a message from my email provider at Yahoo saying that the email couldn't be delivered. Does anyone know what is going on?

I think program development has ceased and the company is no longer in business

I guess that's why the Winpatrol  Plus doesn't work anymore. Thank you. Guess I'll have to find an alternative program.
