If someone has a LinkedIn account...check out Christopher Vukaj....I cancelled mine a year or so ago.

This is all I can view without an account....his brief job description:

Experience
Computer technician OMG Tech Help July 2013– Present (1 year 6 months)

I answer phone calls that come in from the customer and assist them with their issue, and if its bad enough i control the computer with a program called LogMeIn. Then I optimize it.

Clicking on that link...omg Tech Help....gives this:

The offices of OMG Tech Help are presently closed. Information is available via this website, which will be expanded and updated as additional information becomes available.

On November 10, 2014, the Federal Trade Commission and the State of Florida filed a Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against OMG Tech Help LLC and certain related entities. The TRO Motion alleges that OMG Tech Help and others engaged in deceptive business practices through “a multi-million dollar computer repair scheme that exploits consumers’ fears about computer viruses, malware and other security threats.” The TRO Motion can be viewed by visiting www.omgtechhelp.com.

On November 12, 2014, the Honorable Kenneth A. Marra, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida, entered an Order appointing David S. Mandel as the Receiver for OMG Tech Help LLC, Vast Tech Support LLC, and certain other related entities, and giving Mr. Mandel authority over those entities. A copy of the Court’s Temporary Restraining Order can be viewed by visiting www.omgtechhelp.com.

Investigation is ongoing and additional information will be provided via this website as it becomes available.

If Christopher was just one of the phone answerers at OMG then it is possible he is being used to hide who the

real owner is of CertSupport24.com. It will be interesting to see how long the new business will last.

I just had my computer serviced by Certsupport24 and I can say for sure that this is not a scam. Due to the recent legal matters with other surrounding Technical Support companies the whole remote support operation has been tainted. These guys have the lowest prices on the market, starting at $99 for a fast one time repair. Every person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and repair my issues with email being sent and my printer connecting to a wireless connection. To defame a company that you may or may not be a consumer is not really a fair judgement. I didn't live far from there Boca Raton area so they even asked me personally if I wanted to bring the devices in for servicing. I have been assisted by Microsoft on numerous issues and they have NEVER been so helpful as these guys. Sorry but it sounds like the guy above is a disgruntled employee because I assure you as consumer I have tried every avenue of genuine real quality support and no one has extended themselves like this company to insure my computer needs was fully handled. I am a senior sql database administratior and I have witness scams like OMG and the affiliation is not even close to comparison. This company is nothing but professional and dedicated because every time I contact them it is a quick, proactive experience. Before you damage these guys name for other companies bitter sweet experience, try them out I guarantee you will be removing your statements. You can always state your opinion but as one of there first consumers there products and services are too shelf in my eyes. Rob Dean 20 year sql certified admin... I love these guys

You sound just like the guys that work there. Why would your user name be 'techguru' if you require the need of a 'remote tech service' like this. I'm sure this is either Chris, Josh (the GM), Pierre, Dillan or the many other worthless people who work there.

Either that or he learned how these scams work, created an LLC to protect himself and got it up and running and hired some desperate college kids to run the 'diagnostics'.

Interesting fact --

OMG Tech Help was shut down on November 12th, 2014 (according to their website) while CertSupport24 LLC was formed on the exact same day by an employee of OMG Tech Help. Nice try though!

To answer your question the address they provided was 449 NW 35th St. Boca Raton Fl to be exact. Any questions you may have they possibly will be sure to answer don't listen to hear say give them a call. I'm just one satisfied customer who just wanted to express my opinion on this upcoming company

To any who may wonder that is the correct addressing format for the area.https://maps.google.com/maps?q=449+NW+35th+St,+20th+Street+Shopping+Center,+Boca+Raton,+FL+33431&t=h&hnear=449+NW+35th+St,+Boca+Raton,+Florida+33431-5707&z=18

As for it being too small I think it's good for a call center.

A/V Software? I don't need A/V software. I've run Linux since '98 w/o A/V software and have never had a virus. I never even had a firewall until '01 when I began to get routers with firewalls pre installed. With Linux if a vulnerability is detected a fix is quickly found and then upon your next update the vulnerability is patched.  If you must worry about viruses  on a Linux system only worry about them in the sense that you can infect a windows user. I recommend Linux Mint or, if you need a lighter weight operating system that fits on a cd, MX14 or AntiX.

I guess Noscript stops this type of attack. I also guess if you do get one scary pop-ups that yanking out the connection cable and then using ctrl-alt-del will be able to close your browser and halt the scammers there and then. Opening task manager finding the relevent .exe and terminating the process is the standard way in which i close a non-responsive program . As long as you don't have unsaved work in a program this is quite an efficient way of closing it if it's being slow, if it works as well here then scammers will quickly give up trying this attack type as users won't fall for it for very long.

"....CERT"
Spelt like that isn't that a mention of the US government department, the computer emergency response team. They have a us based .gov website which gives information on some recent secuirty news and vulnerabilities.

Hi, I was affected by a similar ad recently as described in the first post. This topic has been a real education for me.

At the time I had dialed the number listed,  877-363-6747, and I spoke to a person for a while, but was disconnected.  A minute later, I was called back by the same tech who stated that we were disconnected. The number that was on the caller ID was 8883898246.

Interestingly, when I google that number I get a different company.

Anyone know anything about these people?

When searching for malware removal assistance (and removal guides) on the Internet, it is not unusual to find numerous hits from untrustworthy and scam sites which mis-classify detections or provide misleading information. This is deliberately done more as a scam to entice folks into buying an advertised fix or removal tool. In some cases if the fix is a free download, users may be enticed to download a malicious file or be redirected to a malicious web site. If the information is provided by a "so-called" Tech Support site, you are typically referred to contact their support staff for assistance if (when) the suggested instructions do not work. In most cases that assistance is only provided for a fee and many times the actual amount is not disclosed until after you have committed yourself. Do not follow such advice or download any removal tools from unknown or untrusted web sites.

Ting Tang...if you do a search and follow the links you will find that a company supposedly located in Weston and/ or Lake Worth, Fla. called

OneBit IT uses those numbers. What they do from comments I've seen is install one well known program and another

not well known after remoting to your computer. They then bill for those programs and a lifetime service contract. In my book,

that is a scam....no ifs ands or buts.

Another name used is PC Speed Repair which is also the name of a product they sell.

Interesting, on their home page is this: How to Spot a Remote Tech Scam....seriously....chutzpah personified.

I could give links and more info. But I don't think it would be useful and might cause a rep to respond denying that they are

scammers. Like the other supposedly customer rave review in this topic.

Let's not forget the malware authors as well.

If it's possible I want to punch them through their desktop screen.
