Converting Video Files And Burning To Dvd

Hello, I am new on here and came with a huge problem. I currently work online selling homemade videos on a website. All videos recorded prior were recorded using the websites recorder. Now my internet speed (or whatever problem it could possibly be) is making all recorded videos choppy and unusable.
Here is my dilemma. I have no prior experience converting videos. I am trying to educate myself on these subjects via the internet. However, I can't find simple newbie explanations. I really need someone who can help me understand what is going on. If you know of any forums, or better yet an actual Chat room where I could converse with people in realtime that would be fantastic..
Alright sorry to digress, I currently have a fourteen minute 758mb to 250mb. I just downloaded windows movie maker and anyvideo converter. The windows movie maker enables me to supposedly divide my videos into three parts each under 250. However that would inherently ruin the effect and purpose of the video.(last resort)
Now Anyvideo converter gives me options of reducing the size of the video, but I'm completely lost using that program, the help info is jargon and I can't figure out conversions. I googled to no avail. I hope that you can help me or atleast point me in the best direction or off a cliff.

you need a healthy computer, a good dvd burner and good blanks

thats it in a nutshell...then find the right tools for the job,
if its a simple conversion of most video to dvd format i mostly use Convertxtodvd or the Filmmachine.

Convertxtodvd you have to pay for but The Filmmachine is free both give very good results with most video formats

You have to convert video files for creating best video and making some good DVD. You have to burn DVD for making some best music for converting the video files. There are many converted softwares available for making some best video files.
