Well which computer am I suppose to do this with then?  Previously I always used my main windows laptop for visiting the financial site and then opening PDF file from that person etc.  However, I then thought that wasn't a good idea... in case they have malware/virus and they are not aware of it.  So if that is the case, any PDF files I receive from that person could contain malware/virus right?

So last time I did this, I used a very slow windows 10 laptop that I rarely use for this.  So in case there is malware when opening the PDF file, well it would affect the very slow windows 10 laptop which I rarely use.  The thing is I only have access to my main windows 11 laptop and a chromebook.  So what would be the best option here?  I don't want to risk opening PDF file on my main windows laptop in case they have malware/virus.

So wouldn't it be best idea to just powerwash my chromebook which would make it brand new and clean?  Thus it would be free of malware and viruses even if there is any right now?  Then once I go to the financial website and open PDF files and do a few things and once I am done... then powerwash it again?  Then it would erase everything?  Then go and log into my few chromebook google accounts to do what I normally on it?  Again... I only have to visit the site and open PDF files and do a few things and once I am done with that, I won't be doing anything like this on the chromebook for at least another 6 months.  So best to do this method then?  This way, any sketchy stuff I do on the chromebook... well I won't have any financial information or files compromised so to speak?  I mean... people do buy chromebook or separate laptop for adult videos and streaming from sites right?  That is why I use a chromebook in the first place.

So at the moment I have like 5 google sign in accounts on my chromebook.  These are google accounts that I use to web browse and stream videos and adult sites etc.

Now if I were to powerwash it... what will it then show when the chromebook logs in?  Would it show any of my 5 google accounts or it be blank like factory new?

Then I can create a new google account to go a financial website... then once I'm done with that... powerwash it again?  Then once it is factory new again, go and log in to those 5 google accounts?  The thing is I want to make sure when I use any of the 5 google accounts I have... well it doesn't then have access to the financial site I visited.  So that would be the proper way to do this?  I have to go to a financial website for few days... then do few things... then once done with that, won't have to go on that site for a long time.  Then I can go and do my normal things on my chromebook right?  Again... I only have 2 laptops with me... main windows laptop and a chromebook.  If i had my other slow windows 11 laptop with me, I would visit the financial site and do it on that computer.  But I don't want to do this on my main windows laptop now because I have to open a few PDF files and don't want to risk infecting my main windows laptop in case.  Again this has to do with if the person that is sending me the PDF files might have malware on their computer but they don't know.  The forms and documents I do are done online.  Is that the best way to proceed here?

Can others confirm here just powerwash it.  Then use it for financial things and once done with that, powerwash it again and then add those old 5 google accounts and that would be fine?

I should not just go and visit the financial website now and view and download PDF files because my chromebook might have malware now right?  Again when I open the PDF file, it will have lot of financial information on it so wouldn't want anyone to be able to read it if my chromebook has malware.

Someone mentioned that going on guest mode is good enough because chromebook is sandboxed?  Or is that not enough?

Should I powerwash it or use it in guest mode and that is enough?  It doesn't seem that much work to powerwash it because if I do that, well I just log into my 5 google accounts later on after the 2nd powerwash and it is fine right?

Again I want to make sure when I download and open these PDF files, it is secure because these are financial documents.

@paulyjustin:

"Someone" must be a poor soul at yet ANOTHER computer help forum....
One can only wonder - how many other sites have you been flooding with your perseveration under yet another username?

Please reread *all* your various, repetitive threads here and at all the other forums.
Your questions have been asked and answered countless times.
The spiral of more and more endless, identical questions here and elsewhere consumes precious forum resources, exploits the good will of forum volunteers, and treads close to "spamming".

These are just a few:
https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/208013-powerwashing-chromebook-questions.html

https://www.elevenforum.com/t/powerwashing-chromebook-questions.18442/

https://linustechtips.com/topic/1533681-powerwashing-chromebook-questions/

Suggestion: Please ask your financial advisor to mail you the forms. Sign them with a pen and ink. Return the signed forms to him via postal mail. Done! No malware worries. No powerwashing needed. No VPN needed to hide your IP address.

That way, you can continue to watch porn, play poker, and do whatever else you do with your computers without having to risk being banned yet again in even more places.

Thank you

Respectfully submitted

This topic, and the others that have been linked, is just going round in circles. You appear to have been given the same answers over and over again and repeating the question merely suggests that you are not getting the pre-conceived answer you think you should get.
