Whats your favourite console?

I got started with super nintendo but I guess the ps2 took up the most of my time...which was probably way too much

Since I honestly can't decide on one single console, I'll have to say that I equally love everything in the image above (except for the 360; it's not quite my cup of tea) + my modded PSP, my GBA (SP), and my GBC. I wish that modded Wii didn't die on me...

Xbox 360 hands down, the original xbox is a close 2nd though.

SNES. Mostly for the nostalgia factor, but I love the design and it had some really amazing games. The Wii is my second choice, and my favourite out of the seventh gen systems.

Game Boy Color. I just love the old games. The Pokemon games were always fun. Along with some other games I had, forgot what they were though... I should go play mine now, if only it weren't dead.

Top Classic: Apple IIc+ - first joystick with Montezuma's Revenge, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego (the game that prompted the TV show and which has descendant games on the market even today), Oregon Trail (now reworked for FaceBook of all things), Frogger, and other greats. So what if they were on 5.25" floppy? They worked, they were fun, and they were malware free LOL

Top Traditional: NES - really anything Nintendo, but I had all the toys for this'un: Zapper, Pad...Power Glove ::waggles eyebrows:: and games to go with 'em (Hogan's Alley much?)

Top Modern: PS3 - if only because I have the largest library of games for it (after my PC) and that library includes 90% of Guitar Hero and Rock Band releases...the DLC puts it a notch above my PS2 which comes in a very tight 2nd. (PS2 was bought, PS3 was a gift)

Top Handheld: NDS - I have a Light, but it's roughly equal with the original. I refuse to downgrade to DSi and lose BC for the sake of a stupid webcam. Prolly 80-90% of my library is Pokemon, but I have puzzle and horsey games, too (as well as Guitar Hero on Tour which also needs the GBA slot). I've VOIP'd just fine on my light with a buddy in another hemisphere so why should I use anything else? Regardless of what NoA claims, I've played Pokemon Blue on it just fine (supposedly original GB games won't run on the DS...yeah, ok...) My GBC went to my daughter and she is currently slogging through my old Pokemon Blue-- and loving every minute of it!


Solid Nintendo Fangirl, here. My Sony investment will likely remain limited to PS2 and 3, Nintendo sees everything from GB through DS (GB, GBC, GBA, DS, DS-lt) and NES through GCN (except SNES). I will NEVER buy an XBOX...there's too much MS crap in my house as it is.

The gamecube, I remember being in love with Mario Party 4. LOL I just googled it, and checked out the prices on Google shopping. Two stores selling for around £60, wow!

Just thought I would get in on this. I've owned consoles from every generation starting with the Atari 2600 (Chopper Command, Pitfall, Jungle Hunt). I got a lot of fond memories with the 2600 but its hard to beat the NES (Legend of Zelda, Simons Quest). Great games and great memories. I have to give the SEGA Genesis honorable mention though (Shining Force was the shi.. the bomb). But for modern consoles, the PS3 easily takes the cake. You dont have to be prepubescent to enjoy the games (WII) or have overly large hands or bionic implants to hold the controller (360). It would be much better if developers and programmers would work to unleash all of its power. The 360 is actually holding the PS3 back. A game that pushes the 360 to its max doesn't even come close to the PS3's full potential. You wont see a multiplatform game run in true 1080p... But now Im rambling.

I was a PC gamer back in the day when the PSOne came out. I chose the SEGA Saturn over the PSOne until the Saturn died out. Had high hopes for the XBOX, but it didnt do it for me. Been Playstation ever since and turned my back on the PC until recently.

They can be picked up for about 30USD here (no idea what that translates to in Pounds or Euros). Just gotta know where to look.

I've had a lot of systems, Atari 2600, NES, Genisis, SNES, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1&2, Xbox, and 360 just off the top of my head (I keep them all in a box in Mom's basement, never know when I will have the urge to play something odd)

Favorite system the Playstaion 2.2 (Slimline) had 0 of the issues of the original design, included a networking adapter, and in a slim case that was easy for transport and the list of great games for it is never ending, God of War, Legacy of Kain, Gran Turismo 3, FFX(so sue me I like it), Burnout, GTA 3/4/5, and so on. It was the have to have system of its hayday.

Playstation 3, hands down. Better exclusives, better commercials. That 'to Michael' commercial is probably the best damned commercial I've had the privilege to view my entire life. And did you see the teaser for the new Naughty Dog game? I AM EXCITE. Microsoft, on the other hand, is about dried up in the exclusives department.

That said, the Kinect is a damned awesome piece of kit.

Also, caught the 'u' in 'favourite.' You a redcoat OP?
