My name may confuse others because of the introduction of Crypto Currency, so here is where may name came from. It has nothing to do with Crypto Currency or Bitcoin.

Crypto is the job I did in the US Navy for more information on what it was - https://www.cool.osd.mil/usn/rating_info_cards/ctt.pdf

And Dan being my first name is shortened form.

My username mentions several specific facts about me, midi is a lowercase acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), music is one of my interests, man is who I am, and 79 is a shortened form of my birth year, 1979. :)

It might look like a typo because replacing the m in man with i changes it from midimusicman79 to midimusician79. However, teaching artificial intelligence, such as Google Translate, is futile, even though it, by definition, is NOT a typo.

Yes, and even though Norwegian is my native language, I wrote the post in American English with my natural intelligence but used two kinds of artificial intelligence, Google Translate and Grammarly Free being set to "I write in American English" to improve it. :thumbup2:

And since I became a regular member in July 2014 and a BC Advisor and Staff member in May 2020, I have experienced that other members have titled me with a bland acronym, such as MMM79, but if THAT were my username, no one could have deduced its meaning.

:welcome: to BC, jacksmitho!

Yes, and my username is even self-explanatory, but just for the record, I already outlined its origin in Post #3738, and from there, I quote:

My username mentions several specific facts about me, midi is a lowercase acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), music is one of my interests, man is who I am, and 79 is a shortened form of my birth year, 1979.  :)

I would appreciate it if you would share your username's origin as well because that is what this topic is all about, but that is up to you.
