Following up here with experiments in natural lighting; sun,water reflections & shadows. Paper wasps are natural 'posers'. In this situation they are not aggressive and interesting to observe but you need to be quick to shoot before they buzz off.  

 

Paper wasp - Polistes humilis - floating and drinking water.

badr0b0t OH my GOD. Stunning. I mean, are those your work? I even love the watermarks :) I can't pick a favorite. Just incredible. 

 

OK so.

 

I love reflections and crystals. 

 

ray of light...i can't even...the color, the composition, the perspective, the lighting. 

 

overcast. sigh

 

and your view just ain't half bad

 

it's all those perfect moments and how and when to capture them...

 

I'll get back to you later....I'm actually kind of lost in your gallery :)

Yes. Thank you. All those are mine. I snap those while teaching myself lessons in photography. "overcast" and "ray of light" are my very first attempts in HDR photography. I like nature in general. Mostly macros.
Take any photo you want. :)

BTW, what crystals? are you referring to the rookie snowflakes shots? :)  I don't remember photographing crystals.
