Types and Grades of Gynecomastia

There are four grades of of gynecomastia, which is a condition of excess fat and glandular tissue in pecs. That is grade 1 to grade 4 of gynecomastia, with grade 1 being the simplest, mostly composed of fat. Grade 4 is the most complex, mostly composed of excess skin and glandular.

In the images below, you will see the before and after treatment of the four grades of gynecosmatia. Gynecomastia is a condition of excessive development of breast tissue in males. And it is caused by hormonal imbalance.

Four Grades – Gynecomastia Pinch Test and Treatment

Grade 1

Grade 1 Gynecomastia- Before and After Treatment

The breast tissue is mostly composed of fatty tissue. Therefore, it is called “pseudo-gynecomastia,” caused by excess body fat. The treatment of this grade is liposuction, glandular extraction, or gynecomastia treatment system involving exercise, diet, and exercise.

Grade 1 gynecomastia is simple in nature, and you can use a minor surgery to quickly get rid of it or use a gynecomastia treatment system. However, it can worsen if you do not treat it promptly. You can use gynecomastia pinch test to identify grade 1 gynecomastia.

Grade 2

Grade 2 Gyno- Before and After Treatment
Grade 2 – Before and After Treatment

In grade 2, the breast tissue comprises both fatty and glandular tissue. And there may be a small amount of excess skin. In this case, the gyno is a bit serious, and the treatment can involve liposuction and glandular extraction.

Gynecomastia pinch test can help you identify grade 2 gynecomastia. If you do not want to undergo surgery, you can use a treatment system like Gynetrix. The system does not involve surgery, so you can continue with work as usual as you get rid of the gyno.

Grade 3

Grade 3 Gynecomastia - Before and After Treatment

The breast tissue is mostly glandular and fat, with a moderate amount of excess skin. Grade 3 gynecomastia is quite severe. You do not need a pinch test to know you have grade 3, because it is quite pronounced.

The treatment involves the use of liposuction surgery and BodyTite therapy. BodyTite therapy uses radiation to stimulate the skin, which causes it to shrink. That leaves your chest with a more natural appearance instead of a scar.

Grade 4

Grade 4 Gyno- Before and After Treatment

The breast is composed mostly of glandular tissue, with a significant amount of excess skin. This stage is known as “severe gynecomastia.” The pecs often have the actual shape of a female breast. Liposuction is not an option as the glandular will have replaced the excess fat.

The treatment involves surgery to remove glandular and followed by BodyTite therapy to shrink the excess skin. That restores the shape of the male breast without leaving a scar. As with grade 3, you do not need a gynecomastia pinch test to identify grade 4.

What are the symptoms of gynecomastia?

The symptoms of gynecomastia include:

  • Swelling or enlargement of breast tissue in males
  • Tenderness or pain in the breast area
  • Nipple discharge
  • Nipple tenderness or sensitivity
  • A feeling of fullness or heaviness in the breast area

Grades of Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is grouped into four main grades, with grade 1 being the onset of gynecomastia, while grade 4 being the most advanced stage of gynecomastia. All the four grades of moobs, as gynecomastia is casually refereed are treatable.

However, apart from causing men to be self-aware when they go topless, excessive breast tissue in males does not pose any risk. If you have gynecomastia in grade 1 or grade 2, you can explore the various treatment option such as Gynetrix, and treat it at home.

With grade three and grade four, I recommend that you consult your physician. They can recommend gynecomastia treatment option for you, such as surgery or liposuction.

You can use a gynecomastia pinch test to determine your gynecomastia grade.
