The reason people hate it is difficulty in use with sharing your hosts devices on the guest and vice versa. With VMWare it all works out of box. Its one reason I keep paying 1540 everytime it is upgraded to maintain the next version with support.

Also 3d Hardware Acceleration works out of box and I have used Windows 10 in a VM on VMWare to connect to a Windows 10 Enterprise VM on the DOD Network for training and meetings that required me being on a DOD Network with virtually no issues.

The account is to just get access to the installer. Once downloaded no account needed.

good morning Mr. cryptodan...how do you feel ?

Your guide is very clear but as often I have some questions:

Step 1 to 4 no problem.

Step 5 : I don`t have SSD or NvmeDisk  so could I install it on the hard disk of my PC?

Step 6 : do I have to select secure boot ?

Step 8 : The PC has 16GB of RAM , how much should I set ?

Step 9 : is NAT forced ?

Step 11 : which one should I choose?

Step 12 to 21 I guess are forced selections.

Thanks in advance

You'll create a virtual disk. And you'll want either bridged or nat. No secure boot fir windows 10

You'll have fun using vmware I use it on Arch for all my windows needs. I can print, scan, and other things with ease on it. I can even access my Samsung phone.
